Amazing Race 16 Spoiler Thread

Alrighty, the new season has started filming and teams were spotted at LAX! Included, as you may have already heard, was Jordan and Jeff from the latest season of Big Brother...but we have another somewhat-known face in the crowd: Caitlin Upton, Miss Teen South Carolina 2007. Yes...you know who I am talking about. She's running the race with her boyfriend, and from what I saw of her on King of the Crown (a TLC show following a pageant coach extraordinaire) she seemed pretty cool. She actually would be the first contestant on the race, besides family editions, who was not 21-she is 21 in March. Brent, also, apparently used to date Brooke from TAR 13.

Reportedly there is the following grouping of teams (not a complete list, in addition to Jeff/Jordan and Caitlin/Brent:
Grandma/granddaughter
Mike and Louie-"two big guys with beards"
David and James-twins
Two cowboys, speculated to be a Tim and a Bobby
Two African-American women
An African-American couple
A lesbian couple
A late-30's couple
An Asian couple-late 20's/early 30's

First stop is Chile.

I just search for "amazing race spoilers" and I saw the pictures of many of the teams, plus it is easier to get race-start spoilers because the start typically is in LA, at least for the last several seasons. I also search "amazing race 16" and that helped bring up quite a few things.

Caitlin Upton... she of the "maps" fame? :lol This ought to be fun.

That'd be her :D Hopefully she lets her boyfriend do the driving; if she's as bad at directions as she is trying to answer a question about why kids can't find the US on the map, they're in real trouble.

Grandma/grandaughter-I don't think we've ever had that combo before. Hopefully the grandma is kick ass. I love to root for the older folks, but not the ones who are whiny and can't keep up and then complain about it. Hopefully they're like Nick/Donald.

Seems that they don't make it far. They were spotted by a local Chilean newspaper at the pitstop where they are apparently eliminated. The newspaper was a bit put off by the production staff trying to keep rogue cameras away. There is a picture of a local with Phil at a grotto location in or near the Valparaiso area.

They are now off to Bariloche, Argentina. Someone tweeted that he gave some racers a map.

It seems like there's always a beauty queen on here in some form, but besides Ericka, the last ones were Dustin/Kandice, right? Prior to that it was Brittany Rogers for the family edition, then Christie/Nicole for season 5. I may be missing a few here :P

Too bad about the grandma/granddaughter. Maybe I wouldn't have liked them, but I like when TAR casts a relationship we haven't seen or haven't seen a lot of. Beats the always token couple(s) that are doing this to see if they're meant to be together despite the fact one cheated on the other and they have horrible arguments at home that involve throwing things.

Race starts in LA, goes to Chile and Argentina (as stated above). At some point, the racers were spotted in Singapore and Malaysia, so it looks like they might be in the last legs of the race in Asia this time rather than the beginning part (no word on that yet).

In regards to the teams and how they fare:

Grandmother/granddaughter possibly out early. Jeff/Jordan spotted with one of the African-American couples in Mexico, where Elimination Station is, so they likely don't make it to the final 4/5/6 (whenever it is the last couple is that doesn't go to Loser Lodge).
