If Colin does indeed win, then there can't be a single doubt in anyones mind who the best racing team in history was: Colin and Christie.

Good point Dave_B and I completely agree. IF Colin and Christie do win they will be the most dominant team ever on the race no contest. Can't say they have been the most enjoyable to watch at times, but they have run a great race.

Maybe if they do win Christie will then have enough money to buy some new shorts that do not have "TEXAS" spread across the rear!

That is why I posed the question is Colin the most dominant racer so far or is he the most dominant in a season of medocre racers?

I think this seasons racers are very entertaining but I don't know if they are necessarily the best bunch of racers.

Clearly Colin and Christie are the most dominant, but would they dominate if they were up against the others.

Not one to want TAR Allstars but it might be a good way to find out.

I was wondering the same thing. There are new rules this season. What would happen if we throw in the fast forward every episode, would that have effected what has happened so far this season?

Don't get me wrong, I am one of the few who do like Colin and Christie. I think they are a good team, they definitely have the drive to win this season and should win with the race they have run so far.

So far two of the four TAR winners have been saved by NEL legs. Flo and Zach were saved TWICE by NEL's. Maybe I have to rethink my position on him being the best racer. Maybe he is just the racer who had to put up with the most.

If the moms or Team "God on our Side" win then it will be another team saved by an NEL that wins.

If Colin and Christie don't win, they would for sure be the best team "not to win."

That being said who would currently hold that title?

    Best teams not winners

TAR4 David & Jeff: 4 1th place with no FF, but one NEL save
    TAR3 Ken & Gerard: 3 1th place with 1 FF, no NEL save ( + 4 2nd place)
TAR2: Tara & Wil: 3 1th place with 1 FF, no NEL save
    TAR1: don't know as I can't see the stats...

So, I'll go with Ken & Gerard over the "Anonymous Alpha Males" & Team "Whine & Wacko"

You know, I've been mentioning how amazing a team Colin and Christie are, and I've been wondering the entire time when somebody wouls use the "well, the rest of the teams suck" excuse. Thuthfully, maybe Colin and Christie would not be able to win against some past good racing teams. We'll never know. As such, we can only go off of what we know...and what we know is that Colin and Christie have landed more first place finishes than any other team in TAR history...and they have a great shot at winning it all. I'm glad people can almost get past the fact that they hate Colin enough to admit that Christie and him are excellent racers. But give credit where credit is due...Colin and Christie are the best (race-wise) team ever.

You're cracking me up, phat. Great thread. I'd agree that Zack was the best individual racer ever, as he did all of the challenges while carrying 90 pounds of whine and still managed to not only win, but not commit Flo-a-cide in the process. This was the feat of no mere mortal. However, this is a team race, so Zach and Flo were certainly not the dominant team that C&C have been this season. Does that mean that they will win? Not necessarily. Thank goodness the ending to the show isn't already obvious or we'd have nothing to talk about. Thanks for the thread, phat.

on the "it's a team race."

Gotta say that I've been pretty irritated by the posters that refer to Colin winning (as if Christie weren't even there). Colin can only go as fast as his partner is able. Christie is racing very well, too--and putting up with Colin in the process, so let's give some props where they are due.

The best racer maybe, but definitely not the best personality-wise! Besides, CBS is probably setting us all up to think that C&C will be the winners. It would be so funny if the winners are B&N or the bowling moms!
