    TAR6 Changes?

Has anyone noticed the description given by CBS for TAR 6???

Restricted plane travel and strict budgets will add to the tension as Teams are forced to rely on wit and ingenuity, perhaps sleeping on park benches or in bus stations and traveling on buses, trains, boats, taxis, bicycles, even camels.
I applied for TAR7, and the
Restricted plane travel and strict budgets will add to the tension
part scares me as far as how they might be changing the game. Oh well, I guess we'll see and it is what it is...

TAR_Fan, I believe that description you quoted is the one that they used for TAR1, and probably every one since then. The part about restricted plane travel just means, as it always has, that they must fly economy-class, and there are often cities/countries that they either must or cannot connect through. The part about strict budget just means, as it always has, that they are given a small amount of money at the start of each leg and it must get them to the next PitStop.

No. The filming of TAR 2-3-4-5 all took place AFTER the prior Race had ended its run on TV. So, the filming of TAR6 that is certainly now underway is the first TAR to be filmed while the prior one (TAR5) is still on TV.

TAR2 started filming 1 month after TAR1 finale aired.
TAR3 started filming 3 months after TAR2 finale aired.
TAR4 started filming 1 month after TAR3 finale aired.
TAR5 started filming 5 months after TAR4 finale aired.

I think the articles that I've read indicated that they held it due to budgetary reasons... and they almost held off on airing TAR 5 until September or spring for that reason, too. Yikes!
