I saw an advertisement for an Amazing Race competition at a local amusement park last summer. Perhaps these people were in such a game and not the real Amazing Race.

Vegas--absolutely LOVE it.
Circus Circus--not so much. Never had the "pleasure" of staying there, but have ventured in a few times. That place, with its general dumpiness and the crowd it seems to attract just really aren't good, in my opinion. You really can see all sorts of people there. First, its kid-to-adult ratio is about 5-to-1 or so it seemed when we were there. Then there was the family of, oh I don't know about 10 or so, carrying their own pillows and grocery sacks through the shops/casino area. And, the "best" memory of all was waiting in line behind a guy at one of their food/snack places and "admiring" all of his tatoos. Don't remember the details but they were essentially "white power" or brotherhood of something or other. And they were all up on his upper back / neck. Needless to say he was not shy about having them very exposed. I avoided any contact and simply thought "Wow!". To each their own (I guess), but it was a shock to see it so blatantly and openly displayed.
Topic?
Another reason this "sighting" doesn't sound reasonable, is because timing-wise it's about the start of the Race, and they've already started TAR2 (around) Vegas.

Thanks, TAR4 ATC Dave and TAR4 ATCSteve!
Also, they are not going to run around the US until late in the race - and then sparingly. With all the digital cameras, picture phones, and internet access if people were running through the streets of Vegas with camera crews then somebody somewhere would have a picture of them.
Maybe they might have been racing to the Horseshoe before it closed down.
On the upside, maybe now I can get free rides. Just have hubby carry our old HUGE video camera and I'll tell people we're running TAR.
We could get across the country this way... hmmm, maybe meet up with other TAR fans in Vegas![]()

Sonic, where is that sighting supposed to be?
If you remember TAR3, they made the flags plain yellow...so the flag is plain yellow here.
Also, on that same board i found that picture on, was a picture of Amazing Race at the south pole :O
Hmmmm, not quite sure that's authentic. It doesn't have the red stripe we've seen since at least TAR 3 (I didn't watch TAR 2, so I don't know if it was already there). It would be unusual to drop the red stripe.
ETA: The only time in TAR 3 the flags did not have the red stripe was in Vietnam. No sense to get rid of it in the US.
