Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" -- Steve Parker

I'd say close to impossible. I will say though that the article said they can't have maps so that they can't try to figure out where they are going next. Perhaps they will be allowed small local maps? I just can't imagine.

I sort of interpretted it as they couldn't have maps at the Pit Stops. It doesn't exactly say that...
"We want to make sure that they won't be able to guess where it is they are going."
Several Teams in the past have referred to cramming over maps/books at the Pit Stops trying to figure out options/etc. I'd say that they just won't be allowed to have maps (and probably travel books that include maps) while at the Pit Stops. So, when they arrive at say, City X, for a pit stop, they cannot then study up all of the attractions in the area, hours, directions, etc. Nor would they be able to locate train stations, bus stations, airports, etc for possible transportation out of town.
It will cause them to start fresh when getting their first clue of the next Leg. Then, I'd imagine they'd be able to use any maps they've acquired and/or be given maps. If they have to DO something, they'll have to figure out where it is and how to get there. Rather than possibly already having located it and knowing exactly how to get there. Same thing if they simply have to leave town. They won't necessarily know where their required transport is located.
Just my thoughts. We'll see.

An older (Oct 2003, I think) article about TAR4's Reichen that I'd never seen before---

A recent article about TAR3's Ian filing to run for position of County Commissioner---

And, another older article, about TAR1's Kevin & Drew being on a special Reality TV Week episode of the Street Smarts game show. Unfortunately, it was already aired back in early May 2003---
