I think that participants in The Amazing Race AND Survivor should also know how to row a boat! I cannot count the times that contestants/tribes have lost challenges because they can't row.

I'd have no problem shaving my head or running with a backpack (although I would pack VERY lightly). Not sure if I could choke down the sheep butt, but I would certainly try. It's not the worst thing that I've watched them try to eat.

Re: Would you, could you eat sheep's butt?

I'd have no chance; I couldn't do it. I must have one of the weakest stomachs around. Even the seeing the little barf-smilies makes me queasy. . I had to have a test where you have to drink a large glass of contrast but couldn't keep it down so they ended up using an NG tube (this tube they insert up your nose and it goes down into your stomach). Now I just request the tube, and they look at me like I'm insane. Granted, it's not plesant. (Seriously, why try to choke the liquid down, only to throw it up, then have them resort to the NG tube anyway. This way I save much of the drama upfront. Perfectly sane. Almost.) Alas, Snowbird will not be on TAR or Survivor. I can't drive a manual transmission car either.

I think the smell was a clue to their tastebuds that this would be an icky challenge. While Starr didn't seem to have much of a problem, Nick did. I couldn't be a contestant on these shows - no way. I'm much too comfortable watching them be uncomfortable. Remember future contestants - there is almost always a food challenge somewhere...crickets, an overload of barbecued beef, a lot of pizza in New York. It is all in the mind set and mine is set on watching from my comfy chair.

Re: Would you, could you eat sheep's butt?

I want to add to my previous list:

9. Don't be afraid of heights - how many challenges have we seen that involve climbing or rappelling down from a really high place?

10. Don't fear water and be able to swim - there have been lots of water challenges, either in boats, canoes, rafts or diving for something on the bottom of a pool.

11. Make sure you are in good physical shape and able to climb, run, dance, march, etc.

12. Have a strong bladder (who knows when/where you can find a bathroom, especially in some of these third world countries).

For a chance at a million bucks, yes of course. I wonder what it tastes like.I love lambchops but this one looked more like fat.

Fat is where the flavor is in meat. That is why a rib eye tastes better than a filet mignon. Too much fat can be nauseating but I dont think these people make themselves sick with fat. Things are exaggerated for TV. They ate lamb, it just could not have been that bad. The amount they had to eat was the hard part.

Yeah, I do prefer rib eye myself. If it is cooked that's all I care about.

Re: Would you, could you eat sheep's butt?

Now, personally, I can eat just about anything, so I'd be able to do this challenge. But, in the history of "TAR," I have not seen any food challenge that did not involve some sort of meat or was very salty (i.e. the two pounds of caviar one race). And, of course sometimes it's very weird, such as the still alive but cooked squid one race - though I think it was a detour.

In this game you must be able to eat just about anything - or force yourself too. I do hope, however, that the contestants are given thorough physicals prior and tell producers of any and all allergies to be on the safe side. (I'm sure they do, however, there could be a family history - so they might have to go that far to be safe).

I do think that Terrence and Sarah shouldn't have gone for the Fast Forward when it involved food, because of the great odds it'd been something unusual to eat (I doubt they'll ever do veggies). Going to it cost them the race more than anything (and yes, I so wish they were still there over Dan and Andrew - they at least were better at following clues : ).

Nobody makes it a big deal to eat Pork Butt. And I agree with FG, for a million bucks, there is very little I wouldn't eat.

Re: Would you, could you eat sheep's butt?

I read in interviews this week that Terence & Sarah didn't know the FF had to do with food, and also that the knew eating challenges would be their weaknesses... but if they had a chance to race around the world and win $1million they couldn't pass it up (nor could I!!) I think they were just hoping it wouldn't come up... last season it didn't, could have been the first FF, etc... just bad luck.

Plus, producers chose a team knowing that they both had dietary restrictions (it was in their profiles on cbs.com!) so I actually thought it was a BAD challenge. You're basically just putting someone's lifestyle to the test.
