By the end of this season I was thinking that Jeremy had to be the reason I liked that team so much during their season. But, after the phone call, now I wonder why I liked them at all!

And, yes, the whole spanking thing was just strange.

and lost it by minutes
then he and danielle kicked butt his leg
you have to say they did everything perfect finale leg.

Although this finale had the obligatory physical challenges the producers made sure that those not up to the task would have an opportunity to catch up. In the end it was the team dynamic that won it for Eric and Danielle. They better understood each other’s opinion of the other teams than did their opponents.

They earned their win.

IMO they're lucky there wasn't a roadblock in this leg, especially one that was close to the finish. Danielle would have had to do it, and roadblocks haven't exactly been her strong point this season.
I think Eric is a way better racer and deserves the win more than she does.

If Eric had said that on camera, the FORT hive mind would have roasted him for being such an insensitive sexist pig. Every team has its strength and weaknesses. They use those to their advantage and take their lumps when the advantage isn't theirs. These two ran a good race with some ups and some downs. The reason they won wasn't because (and the other two teams didn't lose because) Eric/Daniel were the only team with a dude.
