| Re: Mark Consuelos - Host Q&A With Age of Love Host Mark Consuelos He's not just Kelly Ripa's hubby. Actor Mark Consuelos is the host of the upcoming NBC reality show Age of Love. During a media call on Friday, I asked Mark a few questions about his reality TV hosting gig. Q: You started out working on a daily soap opera. Did the drama on this dating reality show remind you of soap opera drama? A: [Laughs.] That’s a great question! You know what? I gotta say it like this. I don’t think you can write the stuff that’s on this show. You can’t write it. It’s so good… I’m converted. I really fell in love with the medium. Just watching the conversations and interactions between people has been amazing. Although I’ve had a really really good time on daytime, again, I don’ t think you can write this stuff. Q: Your wife Kelly seems to love the drama on some of these reality shows. She acts out scenes on Live With Regis and Kelly. Is she excited about watching Age of Love? A: I think they haven’t won the Emmy together, her and Regis, and this is going to do it for them. The Age of Love theater! I think Regis could probably get into this reality show as well. I think it has something for him. Q: From your observation, do you think the star of the show found love? A: You know what I love about Mark Philippoussis? He’s a stand up guy. I think he realized that he had to go into this with an open mind. He was really making some decisions, some really level headed decisions. I couldn’t believe it. He’s kind of a throwback. He’s an old fashioned guy. I think he really went into this to find someone, which I really respect. Friday June 8, 2007 source |

| Re: Mark Consuelos - Host Mark C seems excited for the show and doing his required PR for it. It would be nice if his assessment of Mark P is correct and he is just tiptoeing around THE QUESTION with "reality show" speak. A happy ending would be very nice. |

| Re: Mark Consuelos - Host I almost choked on my ice cream after seeing this! I LOVE THIS!!! I'll put in my picture! I say that you scrap the premise of the show and just have pictures of him flashing on the screen for an hour. It would hold my attention and I'm sure that the ratings would go through the roof!!! Well, in all fairness... He does live with Kelly.... I personally gave up on buzz words/place holders, when my kids were teens... We all have them, they are just different, depending on our age... "Like, you know", still grates, though... Awesome/amazing not so much... My generation used/uses uh... ah... er... and probably several more that don't even register... ;0)) PK
